Digitisation Test Targets

IRIS Consulting Group is able to provide two different Test Target sheets

  • ISO 12653-3 Scanner Test Target (duplex) for Documents up to 300 dpi
  • A&P PM – 189 Scanner Test Target (single-sided) Sheet

In addition, IRIS has also provided a brief instructional video to demonstrate how a test target should be used.

ISO 12653-3 Scanner Test Target for Documents up to 300 dpi

IRIS Consulting Group Pty Ltd, are now able to supply a Scanner Test Target sheet that was used in the development of and is compliant with ISO 12653 – Part 3 : 2014.

This Test Target can be used for the scanning (digitisation) of office documents in black-and-white, colour, with or without half tone.

The test target sheet is a physical test chart printed on specialised paper to meet exacting industry specifications. As such, the target can only be provided in hard copy format. The procedures and tool for recording the results will be provided in electronic format (via email) for ease of use.

Duplex test target sheet (ie the target is printed on both sides of the sheet) – For black, white, colour, with or without half tone (all tests, contained in the one test target sheet) $250.00 AUD inc GST

A&P PM-189 Scanner Test Target (single-sided)

IRIS Consulting Group Pty Ltd has compared the PM-189 Test Target with relevant test target elements outlined in the ISO 12653-3:2014 – Electronic imaging – Test target for scanning of office documents – Part 3 – Test target for use in lower resolution applications. This assessment has identified where there is equivalence between the PM-189 and ISO 12653-3 test elements.

The PM-189 comes with a second test target for testing of colour scanning output, the Ink Gamut Chart. This chart is recommended for use in assessing the reproduction of colour in the ISO 12653-2:2000 Electronic imaging – Test target for the black and white scanning of office documents – Part 2: Method of use.
