IRIS Consulting Group has three different Test Target sheets available for purchase:
- Scanner Test Target (duplex) for b/w and coloured A4 Documents up to 300 dpi and featured in ISO 12653-3
- Scanner Test Target (single-sided) for b/w and coloured Documents up to 300 dpi and primarily used for flat bed scanners and featured in ISO 12653-3
- A&P PM – 189 Scanner Test Target (single-sided) for b/w ONLY A4 Documents.
In addition, IRIS has also provided a brief instructional video to demonstrate how a Test Target should be used and a five minute training course on how to undertake Day Boxing.
Scanner Test Target Duplex Sheets and Single-Sided Sheets featured in ISO 12653-3
We have an duplex Test Target and a single-sided Test Target and both can be used for scanning (digitisation) of office documents in black-and-white, colour, with or without half tone. These Test Targets are featured in ISO 12653-3 .
These Test Target sheets are physical test charts printed on specialised paper to meet exacting industry specifications. As such, the Targets can only be provided in hard copy format. The procedures and tool for recording the results will be provided in electronic format (via email) for ease of use.

A&P PM-189 Scanner Test Target (single-sided)
IRIS Consulting Group Pty Ltd has compared the PM-189 Test Target with relevant test target elements outlined in the ISO 12653-3:2014 – Electronic imaging – Test target for scanning of office documents – Part 3 – Test target for use in lower resolution applications. This assessment has identified where there is equivalence between the PM-189 and ISO 12653-3 test elements. The biggest difference is that the PM-189 no longer has a test for colour.
