COURSE OBJECTIVE

This course will provide participants with knowledge of fundamental records and document management concepts and how to translate these into practical solutions in the workplace.

The course covers records and document management principles, plans, processes, tools and practices and how these combine to form a Records Management Program, as outlined in the Australian Records Management Standard AS ISO 15489.

In addition the course will help participants develop an awareness of the need to embed the evidence of an organisation’s business activities and transactions into the business process to which it belongs. The evidence of business activities and transactions are records and or documents.

This course is therefore suitable for those new to Records, those who just want to refresh their basic Records and Document Management skills, or those who want to better understand how their work fits into the broader Records and Document Management picture.
