Recordkeeping & Accountability for Councillors

RECORDKEEPING AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR COUNCILLORS

Elected Members are drawn from sectors of the community they represent. They may be lawyers, truck drivers, doctors, house husbands or wives, or farmers. The diverse backgrounds of Elected Members mean that they also have varying levels of experience with addressing accountability and recordkeeping requirements in Local Government.

This brief online course will quickly and easily provide Elected Members with information about how to demonstrate their accountability and how to protect themselves, the community and the Shire they represent by adequate capture (recordkeeping) of the Business Evidence they create or receive in the conduct of their role.
