eCourses
IRIS Consulting Group provides a range of eCourses which support learning within the Information & Records Management arena.
IRIS eCourses are provided using an online learning platform for seamless multi-device delivery. Through this platform we continue to deliver online training for our clients to enable remote delivery, support and enhancement for, or in place of, Face-to-Face training.
By using the online learning software, IRIS provides a Web platform for our clients to easily access a customisable training environment that does not require the purchase of a Learning Management System.

Email Addresses
It is a standard requirement for most online or cloud-based applications to require the use of unique identifiers. The application IRIS uses for its online learning is Thinkific. Thinkific follows the standard in requiring that each individual student or trainee must have a uniquely identifying email address.
Is the email address you are using to sign up for and participate in your online training course unique?
Many organisations use what are often known as role-based or generic email addresses, for example records@agency.gov.au, cso@localgovernment.gov.au or info@organisation.com.au. These types of email addresses may be used now by more than one person and over time as staff change roles or new staff are engaged, which creates both security issues and access issues for individuals signing up for online training courses.
Any email address that is shared will cause security issues for your organisation. If you have any questions about this requirement please contact us.

Managing More Than One Online Course
Purchasing and participating in multiple courses at any one time can lead to online learning challenges. Online training courses are likely to have a timeframe for completion, allowing for knowledge to remain current, applicable, and usable. As an example, IRIS Online Training will expire 14 days after enrolment, allowing for the maximum impact of practical training in an online environment. IRIS eCourses are easy to enrol in and access with only a few simple clicks.
Purchasing and participating in one online training course at a time is a simple solution to this challenge, and also helps you to keep track of your progress, without losing track of timeframes for completion for multiple courses. Reviewing and applying what you have learned from each course helps to cement your knowledge before moving to your next training course.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Each of IRIS’s Online Training courses are available for a Maximum of 14 days for each course. If you purchase two or more courses per person, then each course purchased attracts an additional 14 days. Please be aware that the licence automatically expires after 14 days and under the licence conditions imposed by the software provider, IRIS is unable to re-activate expired licences.
Online training is a flexible way of learning using video, graphics, quizzes, and downloadable content for each participant to keep and use. When you choose one of our eCourses through the IRIS Website you will be directed to the IRIS Thinkific page, including access to our free How To video about dayboxing.
